IMS and its clients follow an intensive and interactive process.
We start with a clear understanding of the client's requirements, however large or small these may be. After agreeing upon the program objectives, IMS begins an internal process of building a team with appropriate experience to best deliver the most creative and cost-effective approach. Once underway, the client is kept in the loop of development and execution to allow for any fine-tuning as circumstances change in the marketplace. Client feedback and measurement of the effectiveness of any program is the key to the success of IMS programs. While it is the goal to hit a home run every time, lessons may be learned from seeing which methods work best and those that do not reach first base. By delivering an honest appraisal of work, IMS has built an excellent rapport with clients resulting in enduring partnerships and repeat engagements.
The process may be defined as the IMS Creative Project Management Sequence:
Phase 1: Define
- Put the project team together. Define each member's role.
- Review and discuss the project's objectives with full team.
- List the project's end products/deliverables.
- Establish ballpark estimates and dates.
- Brainstorm!
- Assess the thematics, and demonstrate how they support the project's objectives.
- Establish preliminary specifications for the project's products/deliverables.
- Identify the resources that will be required to execute the project.
- Identify and document any project-related assumptions.
- Decide how the team will make project change decisions.
- Write up a Statement of Work (Proposal).
Phase 2: Planning
- Identify the project tasks to be performed.
- Re-evaluate the team.
- Hold a team meeting to develop a ‘Work Breakdown Structure.’
- Do a project risk analysis.
- Establish contingency plan(s).
- Present a 'Work Breakdown Schedule' to client.
Phase 3: Implementation, Monitoring and Control
- Begin work.
- Coordinate ongoing team activities.
- Hold brainstorming sessions as needed.
- Concept development.
- Presentation and refinement.
- Production.
Phase 4: Wrap-Up
- Internal project review meeting.
- Begin the final billing process.
- Send the client a project closing letter and a satisfaction survey.
- Client post-project review meeting.
- Complete 360-degree review in written form.
